Toddler Program

School Philosophy

Our preschool's philosophy is based on the belief that children learn through experience; they learn by doing. We work towards enhancing the developmental growth and believe that it is our responsibility to enhance that development and to consider each child's individual needs.

Administration

The Administrator and the School Board administer our school. School Board members are non-salaried, represent a variety of skills and are derived from the membership of Cross and Crown Lutheran Church as a nonprofit community service.

Our program

Our Toddler program is tailored to offer fun in a small group setting for children 18 to 30 months of age. The Toddler program is held in a separate classroom, with furniture scaled for smaller children. The classroom offers many choices for the children, such as book corner, kitchen area, soft block area, puzzles, and manipulative toys. Our outdoor play area, separate from the larger preschool yard, contains a sand box, playhouse, riding and pushing toys.

Your Toddler's Day

Typical daily activities include art, music, outdoor play, stories, and group snack. We work on potty training when the child is ready. We recognize the importance of giving extra special attention and support to the children who are separating from parents for the first time.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Cross and Crown Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or scholarship program.
