Mission Outreach

The CCLC Community Garden grows and delivers fresh and healthy produce on a year-round basis to Petaluma Bounty or NOAH (Neighbors Organized Against Hunger) for distribution to people in need. With the help of local food pantries, our goal is to help support a sustainable food system in the community by providing healthy, fresh food for everyone!

How to Get Involved!A kid is surprised to find out that lemon cucumbers are prickly

There are three ways to become involved in this outreach program.

"Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food'."
Gen 1:29

Planting

Greenhouse plantsPlanting occurs throughout the year in order to provide produce for the Petaluma Bounty Gleaning Program and NOAH. We have an 8'x12' greenhouse/ cold-frame which supports year-round growing. In the winter, we start seeds in the greenhouse for spring and summer planting. Throughout the summer, we continue to plant seeds to provide a constant source of produce. We allow selected plants to "go to seed" and we save these seeds for future planting.

Additionally, we plant seeds in the summer for our fall and winter crops. The seedlings grown in our greenhouse are made available for those who have a raised bed for personal use.
